NY Runway Show Countdown / 16 Days to Go

The countdown is on to 5pm on September 15th when we will hit the runway at Lincoln Centre's "Studio" Venue.

Our current SS2011 New York Fashion Week checklist (ongoing and daily-growing!):

i) book flights to NYC
.
ii) confirm hotel rooms (thinking Tribeca/SoHo...)
.
iii) organize a dinner bite @ Nobu (and, of course, never miss breakfast tea and pastries @ Le Pain Quotidien on Grand)
.
iv) model casting next week
.
v) lock down music (band/group to perform? hmmm... possibly...)

vi) co-ordinate sequence of outfits & finalize accessories (to shoe, or not to shoe- that is the question)

vii) MOST IMPORTANT >> work on online streaming set-up for you all to enjoy the show with us!

We just wrapped up three days of amazing fun showing the new ranges at Project in Las Vegas, 8.17-8.19.

Denmark Bound / Enjoy the Grand View

And now, we make our way to Copenhagen for Fashion Week to show the new collections amongst 200+ of the very best in the business at Gallery, August 12-14.
.
Our Molly-friend (and Fall-Winter10 campaign photographer) Helena Christensen has some very special projects in the works this weekend, in collaboration with Fashion Week organizers.
.
On Saturday, August 14th, retailers across the city will be donating 1% of their revenues to Helena's chosen charitable organization - the Chernobyl Children's Project International - benefitting the children and families affected by the nuclear disaster of '86 in the Ukraine.
.
Also taking place this day is the "World's Greatest Catwalk". Helena will host the event and 220 models plan to walk the longest runway EVER created, built right in the streets of Copenhagen.
.
This feat is set to break the world record for longest catwalk in the world! If you are also in CPH this weekend, you must not miss out... arrive early, beat the crowds and bring your cameras (send pictures if you can!!)

NY Fashion Week Line-Up Revealed... (guess who's heading to the Big Apple?)

You heard it here first - Odd Molly will be hitting the New York runways for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in September!
.
This season, one of the most prestigious and sought-after fashion events in the world takes centre stage in its new home at Lincoln Centre where 90+ of the globe's top profile premium brands will show-off their upcoming collections to a discerning crowd of stylists, celebs, fashionistas, editors and buyers.

Showing in New York will mark our second time hitting the runways in North America - first, we made a splash @ the Mondrian hotel's famous Sky Bar in Los Angeles (I mean this quite literally as anyone who was there will remember one of the front row attendees taking a surprise dip in the pool immediately post-show ;).

.

The LA event was hosted by the gorgeous Darryl Hannah and helped launch the brand to super-new-heights from Brooklyn to San Fransisco.
.
Alongside Odd Molly, New York Fashion Week will include shows from the likes of Malandrino, Ralph Lauren, IVANAhelsinki, Tibi NYC, Betsey Johnson & the incomparable Diane Von Furstenberg.
